Not in any particular order:

1. Eat real food.
2. Drink water.
3. Drink an occasional glass or two of red wine.
4. Lift weights.
5. Run.
6. Get as much fresh air as possible.
7. Don't worry about stupid stuff.
8. Don't get hung up on what other people think.
9. Learn new things on a regular basis.
10. Indulge every now and then.

i found that when i started excercising the healthy diet just followed itself. cuz whenever i eat something now i think of how many calories it has in it and how long i'd have to excercise to burn it off.. so that puts me off foods that are high in cals and are junk! now i eat alot more fruit and veg and nuts because i know they aren't high in calories and are excellent for your body! im not saying you should obsess over thecalories or anything but its just the way your body reacts after you realise how easy it is to stuff something down yor mouth which you'll only taste for like a half an hour man yet it takes about 2 hours trying to burn it off!!!

youtube ''nutrition by natalie'' ... i find her videos very good! she provides alot of info and healthy tips! :)

Exercising helped me to lose lots of weight after I married it together it along with using acai berry. I know they say that pills will not work, but they certainly worked for me, and they have been showcased on CBS News too. There is a free trial on right now at http://rarors.myweightlosspro.info , try it out, how worse could it make things?

Don't sit in front of the TV. Might sound strange, but when you sit and watch TV, you usually snack, and not always on healthy food. Just limit the amount you watch and the amount of sugary snacks you eat while you watch.

As for exercise, go for walks - the mental and physical benefits are endless. My husband and I go for walks (3-4 times per week) for at least half an hour. It's a good time to unwind and just spend time together, all while getting some exercise.

As far as nutrition goes, know where your food comes from. Cook as much as possible from scratch and avoid products that list a lot of ingredients that you don't know. Eat foods closer to their natural state, and avoid a lot of processed food.

I just found this great magazine, and I think it's a monthly. It's called "Heart Healthy Living" and it's put out by "Better Homes and Gardens" magazine. Filled with great articles and recipes.

Another good book for recipes and such is "The 8 Week Cholesterol Cure Cookbook" by Robert E. Kowalski. Harper & Row Publishers. Even if you don't have cholesterol problems, it's a great book with more than 200 recipes. Tells you what and how to eat to lower the cholesterol. I bought it to cook for my DH who has the problem, it's both hereditary and food related. We both eat the same now, so I figure it ain't hurting me any, either!!!

You sound like a smart young man, more people should feel like us, there would be less obesity and heart disease in this country!
