Healthy Living Tips

Sickness and disease is all around us. Do you ever wonder why some develop chronic illness while others never get sick? Is it good genes? Is it luck? Special vitamins?

One way to experience great health is by consistently following these healthy living tips.

Hydrate Yourself with Alkaline Ionized Water

Every function inside the body is regulated by and depends on water. While water is certainly not an absolute cure-all, we must recognize it as the primary ingredient to every preventive and healing process inside the body. Water must be available to carry vital elements, oxygen, hormones, and chemical messengers to all parts of the body. An increased intake of alkaline water will greatly enhance digestion, nutrient absorption, skin hydration, detoxification and virtually every aspect of better health! So many common ailments and illnesses can be prevented and greatly reduced by an increased intake of healthy water. Headaches, hypertension, back pain, arthritis, ulcers, asthma, morning sickness, fatigue and metabolism can all benefit (and in many cases be prevented) by regulating the body’s natural fluid levels.

Eat Living Foods, Avoid Junk Foods

Quality food plays a major factor in keeping our cells healthy and our immune system strong. Food not only provides energy to your body, but all the nutrients that are essential for a vibrant health. Unfortunately, our modern society has created an unhealthy demand for “on-the-go,” heavily processed foods. These are stripped of vital nutrients and are overloaded with refined sugars, refined grains, chemicals, additives, and preservatives. Additionally, many foods today contain excessive amounts of antibiotics, growth hormones, pesticides, artificial substitutes, and heavy metals. “Junk” food may taste good, but it will provide little energy nor give our cells what they need to work efficiently. Alkaline forming nutritious foods like organic fruits and vegetables, whole grains like brown rice, millet, buckwheat, and oats are a valuable source of the vitamins, minerals and fiber.

Exercise Proper Body Preventative Maintenance

Our Creator God has given us all the power of health and healing within our own bodies. Illness and disease cannot invade the slightly alkaline body that has a healthy immune system. In order to experience vibrant health, we must deal with the root cause of sickness and disease, and not just treat the symptoms. Regular activities like getting moderate exercise, a healthy deep sleep, properly dealing with stress, personal hygiene care, and a spinal adjustment all help promote vibrant health. Ok, this tip is not new, but are you doing anything to practice these activities?

Healthy Relationship With Your Creator God

Many who desire great physical health do not realize that if you want great physical health, you need to also have good spiritual health.  Our spiritual and physical health are linked together.  Sins like gluttony, adultery, or bitterness not only affect your spiritual life, but will hurt your physical health as well.  You can practice all the previous tips above, but if your relationship with God is not where it should be, then you will never be completely healthy.

To enjoy optimal health, knowing these healthy living tips is a start and will lead to consistent vitality. But, you must take responsibility for your own health and apply these tips before you start experiencing any symptoms. It may include many lifestyle changes, but I am sure you will agree, great health is always worth it!

  • I just found this great magazine, and I think it's a monthly. It's called "Heart Healthy Living" and it's put out by "Better Homes and Gardens" magazine. Filled with great articles and recipes.

Another good book for recipes and such is "The 8 Week Cholesterol Cure Cookbook" by Robert E. Kowalski. Harper & Row Publishers. Even if you don't have cholesterol problems, it's a great book with more than 200 recipes. Tells you what and how to eat to lower the cholesterol. I bought it to cook for my DH who has the problem, it's both hereditary and food related. We both eat the same now, so I figure it ain't hurting me any, either!!!

You sound like a smart young man, more people should feel like us, there would be less obesity and heart disease in this country!

  • Don't sit in front of the TV. Might sound strange, but when you sit and watch TV, you usually snack, and not always on healthy food. Just limit the amount you watch and the amount of sugary snacks you eat while you watch.

As for exercise, go for walks – the mental and physical benefits are endless. My husband and I go for walks (3-4 times per week) for at least half an hour. It's a good time to unwind and just spend time together, all while getting some exercise.

As far as nutrition goes, know where your food comes from. Cook as much as possible from scratch and avoid products that list a lot of ingredients that you don't know. Eat foods closer to their natural state, and avoid a lot of processed food.

  • Exercising helped me to lose lots of weight after I married it together it along with using acai berry. I know they say that pills will not work, but they certainly worked for me, and they have been showcased on CBS News too. There is a free trial on right now at http://rarors.myweightlosspro.info , try it out, how worse could it make things?

  • i found that when i started excercising the healthy diet just followed itself. cuz whenever i eat something now i think of how many calories it has in it and how long i'd have to excercise to burn it off.. so that puts me off foods that are high in cals and are junk! now i eat alot more fruit and veg and nuts because i know they aren't high in calories and are excellent for your body! im not saying you should obsess over thecalories or anything but its just the way your body reacts after you realise how easy it is to stuff something down yor mouth which you'll only taste for like a half an hour man yet it takes about 2 hours trying to burn it off!!!

youtube ''nutrition by natalie'' … i find her videos very good! she provides alot of info and healthy tips! :)
